You want to wake up feeling peaceful. You’ve been out the night before with some great friends. Lots of laughter, discussion, intimate revelations accompanied by delicious food and wine. What better? Didn’t even have to pay.

Then, waking up to do the proper, supervised exercise regime, listening to the news. Whoa! A sickening crash on Sydney Harbour, five dead. Heaps of injuries. Pretty close to where there was an accident last year. Sobering. Your vision of what it could have been like interrupts everything you do all day.

The usual Brangelina story hits the headlines. Moving to France to have the twins. Well, why not?  Angelina’s mother was French. Would be really good if people became more intrigued by Brangelina’s twin’s location of  birth than negative news.

Madonna is chairing a charity event at the Cannes Festival. Fifty years old and twenty-three years young. What an amazing identity. She’s kept everyone continually fascinated. Her fan’s ages span widely, her music is, like her, constantly re-invented. What’s more her children are being brought up with rules and regulations to keep them healthy and balanced. A challenge given Mum is such a star.

“Walk safely to school day” tomorrow. Doctors are bemoaning the fact children don’t walk to school anymore. Parents seem to drive the their children. They feel it’s safer, quicker. Parents could walk with the children. A pleasant way to chat. Get to know the neighbourhood. Say hello to your neighbours. Apparently eighty percent of children go to school within three kilometres of their home.  If school isn’t close, guess we could park our car a kilometre away. A way of showing the children exercise is a habit. (Something I need reminding.) If it is thirty minutes to school, thirty minutes back, there’s your hour of exercise.  Wonder what the working parents will have to say about this? Usually they drop the munchkins off on the way to work.

U.S has cut it’s rates again. Wowee. Property purchasing could be good especially when it’s going to go up some-time. Ah, when? That’s the main question. The bottom of the market is a murky place.

What’s more concerning is the food shortages, price rises in many countries. More is unfolding. Where does alternative fuel come in to the equation?

What a mixed day this was. Mind you, most days are :).
